Anime ('ah-nee-may') is Japanese for "animation". Anime can range from the very outrageous to the very serious, and is not necessarily intended for children or any specific age group.

Shadowpuma's first experience of anime was back in 1997 when he rented what was thought to be a vampire cartoon from the local video store. "Vampire Hunter D" (released under the 'Manga' label) soon turned out to be the beginning of a growing interest.

Now, the growing interest has increased to hundreds of VHS videos and even more DVD's. Anime fan subs have also begun to play a vast part in the ever increasing collection.
