Super Mario Galaxy - End

My latest gaming attention has been towards Mario Galaxy for the Wii. The wife and I loved playing it to begin with, lots of easy stars to get, two player co-op (where I would do the bits she couldn't). But then it started to get a little harder and time was less and less. But this has changed over the latest Bank Holiday weekend. We spent the last few evenings on a mission to get the correct number of stars to allow for the end boss battle. By the last night we had only two stars to get and then the boss, and we did it! The end credits rolled and that was the end of Mario Galaxy. We now have the choice of playing some of the other games we have and enjoy (Lego Indiana Jones, Little Big Planet) or going out and getting Mario Galaxy 2.

On other gaming news, I have been playing Metal Gear Solid 4 again in an attempt to try and get at least halfway through the game. I have also been fitting time in to play Dragon Quest IX on the DS. Still trying to figure it out keeps the start of the game interesting.

Anime has also been on the agenda recently. Just before falling off to sleep in the evenings I've been catching up with various anime. Highschool of the Dead is the latest series to make it's way to my screen. Others include the comparison of Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood. Both anime series that I should have really seen a lot sooner.
